Power Generation
Atos Origin provides the Nuclear industry with proven Digital Control System (DCS), full scope engineering & training simulators (FSS) and intelligent predictive maintenance systems. ADACS™ (Advanced Data Acquisition & Control System) is the Atos Origin platform designed for Nuclear Industry requirements. It is an open platform well adapted to address new build and refurbishment projects. ADACS™ continuously integrates latest technology through an aggressive R&D program. Atos Origin has more than 300 staff highly skilled in Nuclear Instrumentation & Control (I&C).
100% of the French Nuclear power generation is controlled by Atos Origin I&C systems representing 58 PWR Nuclear Reactors in commercial operation. Atos Origin has also defined advanced methodology for long term service maintenance and is committing for full Nuclear fleet through more than 20 years duration contracts. Atos Origin has delivered I&C systems in France, China, Russia and the UK for generation units with total production capacity of 65,000 MW of installed Power.

Power Transmission & Distribution
Atos Origin has developed best of breed integrated solutions for power transmission and distribution. Atos Origin delivers a continuously enhanced portfolio of solutions, taking into account the technology evolution and deregulation of the Power sector. Global solutions include the whole components of the value chain covering IT for operation, organization and maintenance. All the components, Metering, Trading, T&D Management and SCADA systems (EMS, DMS), GIS are in operation among the world energy industry.
Smart Metering Infrastructure renewal is a large-scale transformation program for all Energy & Utilities and a mandatory step towards Smart Grid. Atos Origin is recognized as a key supplier in providing solution and associated services to answer these challenges. Atos Origin has designed and support the French Transmission Operator RTE Very-High Voltage (400 KV) and High Voltage (225 KV) National Grid Control System and is Prime Contractor of the French Distribution System Operator ERDF Automated Meter Management Linky programme.

Our proven experience
EDF - Atos Origin provides a lot of services and systems. Some examples:
- Monitoring and Control systems for all French nuclear plants (900 and 1300 MW) and
- the fully computerized control system and full scope simulator for the N4 units (1450 MW);
- PSAD, a predictive integrated monitoring and diagnosis maintenance system for critical assets in NPP (Condition Based Monitoring)
- Long term service maintenance (commitment to maintain the system in operation during years)
- The National Grid (400 KV and 225 KV) Control System which control for RTE TSO the whole generation units (Hydraulic, Nuclear and Fossil ) of the France.

Dungeness UK - Atos Origin has been selected to provide the Nuclear Power Plant B with the refurbishment of the I&C system now powered by ADACS™
EPZ - EPZ is an energy company operating a nuclear power station, a coal fired power station which also uses biomass, a gas turbine and a wind turbine park which provide some 6 percent of the electrical energy needs of the Netherlands. Safety is the first priority, but EPZ’s mission is also to be a low cost, but very efficient, energy producer and so it is always looking at ways to improve its processes and the way it does business. In late 2006, following a public tender selection process, EPZ decided to outsource its generic IT services to Atos Origin. This contract encompasses the IT infrastructure, the help-desk, workplace services and application management. EPZ awarded also Atos Origin with a new Enterprise Asset Management system.
