Atos Origin has published its first Corporate Responsibility report in line with the guidelines from the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) - the international standard for sustainability reporting. The GRI has rated the Atos Origin 2009 report Level B+.

Furthermore, Atos Origin has developed its scientific and technological expertise to improve the sustainability of its operations, and through its Sustainability Solutions and IT services, to help its clients to improve their own sustainability.

Atos Worldline has been granted the red dot award for product design in the category “architecture and interior design: shop equipment”. It received the award for YOMANI, the new multi-lane payment terminal launched by Atos Worldline in November 2009. The international “red dot award: product design” is awarded by the Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen in Essen, Germany, and ranks among the largest and most renowned design competitions in the world. With the YOMANI payment terminal, Atos Worldline introduces a unique design in the payment area. The terminal incorporates three payment interfaces – magnetic-stripe, chip and contactless – and a large full-colour display, all in a small footprint. The display and illuminated card slots guide cardholders through the payment process. The striking shape of the YOMANI provides an integrated protection for PIN entry, while guaranteeing an optimal access to the card readers and to the display.

Atos Worldline, a subsidiary of Atos Origin and a major European IT player in the processing of high-volume electronic transactions, received the ‘Walter Möller insignia’ Award in recognition of its long term support to the Monikahaus orphanage in Frankfurt-am-Main, Germany. For over nine years staff from Atos Worldline have supported the Monikahaus, orphanage which looks after over 60 children and teenagers from disadvantaged families.

The award is presented every two years to organizations and local groups which have provided outstanding services to the public well being of the City of Frankfurt.

Atos Origin won HP’s ‘Application Quality Management, European Partner of the Year, Special Award’ for its outstanding results in Application Quality Management. The global application quality management offering combines software testing and acceptance management with a move to operations and is already generating new significant business. In France, Auchan and Carrefour, France Telecom, Banque Postale  and a department in the Ministry of Economics, have all recently signed contracts for this new offering which addresses test and acceptance processes as well as the process of preparing for the software to move to operations.
